A strong brand relies on repeated and consistent use of the brandmark.
These guidelines ensure the VUMC brand maintains its stature, that all services provided by Vanderbilt may share in the value of the brand, and that all services may contribute to the brand’s value. Please use the guidelines to assist you in the preparation of your communications materials.
Because the logo is the most recognizable element of any corporate communication, it is important that the VUMC logo always be used in a consistent manner.
For any questions or concerns, you may email email@example.com.
The area surrounding the Vanderbilt University Medical Center logo should always be free from other graphic entities, borders and type. This clear zone is demonstrated below. Rare circumstances where room doesn't allow for the entire clear zone should be submitted to Louis LaPrad for approval prior to production.
The minimum space is a set measurement in each signature, determined by the height of the Vanderbilt symbol, and defined as X. The X will change proportionally as the signature increases and decreases in size.
Vanderbilt University Medical Center signature
This is the logo that is used to represent Vanderbilt University Medical Center on print, web and presentation materials to constituents other than consumers/patients. It represents the physical location of the medical center.
Vanderbilt Health signature
Vanderbilt Health represents all the various clinics and services that make up the clinical enterprise of the medical center. The logo is typically used for external communications directed at general consumers and patients.
The oakleaf V symbol should never be used on its own, without the wordmark.
This logo is for use on all official stationery of the Medical Center. All stationery requests must go through University Printing Services.
