The FWC works collaboratively with several other outstanding Vanderbilt programs. Each of these programs provides valuable services for faculty and physicians at Vanderbilt and throughout the country.
The Faculty and Physician Wellness Program (FPWP)
exists to support faculty and physicians of the Vanderbilt Medical Center who are in need of assistance with mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. Faculty and physicians may self-refer for a confidential assessment by calling the Faculty and Physician Wellness Program of Work/Life Connections-EAP
at (615) 936-1327. The FPWP provides services for stress, burnout, addictions, anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, anger, behavioral problems and workplace concerns.
The Center for Professional Health (CPH)
provides continuing medical education courses for health professionals on maintaining proper boundaries, proper prescribing practices, and the distressed physician. The CPH was founded in late 1997 with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and Vanderbilt Medical Center. It was designed to be an educational, research and prevention resource to address matters of professional health.
The Center for Patient and Professional Advocacy (CPPA)
at Vanderbilt created the Patient Advocacy Reporting System (PARS) to investigate how compliant data might be used to reduce risk and promote quality care. CPPAs mission is to promote patient and professional satisfaction with healthcare experiences and restrain escalating costs associated with patient dissatisfaction.
The Vanderbilt Comprehensive Assessment Program (VCAP)
is a multidisciplinary program that provides the highest quality assessment and monitoring services to professionals suffering from problems with addiction, mental health issues, disruptive behavior, boundary violations, and burnout.
