In the last 10 years, the Division of Pediatric Urologic Surgery has earned several awards from the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Society of Pediatric Urology, building a program known well for its innovate research.

Some of their studies have contributed to identifying causes of bladder disease and understanding the genetic predispositions for congenital anomalies of the kidney and ureter tract. Our researchers are now looking to understand treatments that could minimize scarring of the bladder known as fibrosis.

Additionally, our program for research in healthcare outcomes and policy has rapidly achieved national prominence and provides mentorship and training for the clinical scientist.
