The Vanderbilt Neurology Residency Program is

a

4 year, categorical program that aims to train

outstanding clinical neurologists and the future leader

s in neurology. Our diverse, general and sub-

specialty faculty are committed to providing residents wit

h unparalleled clinical experience at the

Vanderbilt University Medical Center inpatient and out

patient facilities along with the Nashville

Veterans Affairs Hospital. The institution, department

many innovations including resident involvement in ne

urology clinic starting PGY-1 year, our annual

practice habits feedback module, and

detailed mentoring program.

Didactics focus on not only

medical knowledge but also critical literature review

in order to create a foundation for life-long

learning.

Our graduates are uniformly successful on board examina

tions and consistently obtain their

desired fellowship and/or employment upon graduation.

*** FAQ for applicants currently applying for the 2018 match ***

- Successfull applicants will have graduated from medical school within 3 years

- We do not consider applicants with USMLE scores less than 200

- We do sponsor H1b and J visas.  We do require US clinical experience.

- Application review starts 9/15/2017.  Interviews are conducted 10/24/2017-1/23/2018.  While most interviews are offered by the end of October, we keep an active "waitlist" in case of cancellations through early January.  We respectfully request cancellations notification as soon as possible, at least 2 weeks before the interview date.
