Peter Konrad, MD, PhD

Professor of Neurological Surgery

Dr. Konrad's clinical interest is in all areas of functional neurosurgery, with special emphasis on the surgical treatment of movement disorders (including Parkinson's Disease, tremor, dystonia and spasticity), epilepsy, trigeminal neuralgia, and neuropathic pain. He also performs routine neurosurgery.

Dr. Konrad received his MD degree from Indiana University in Indianapolis, IN, in 1991 He also received his Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1988.

Postgraduate Training:
Dr. Konrad completed his internship training in General Surgery at Indiana University in 1992. He continued his residency training in Neurosurgery at Vanderbilt University between 1992 and 1997.

Other Responsibilities:
Dr. Konrad is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, and the Congress for Neurological Surgeons.
