Rehabilitation services are also provided at Vanderbilt Orthopaedics, Cool Springs including physical therapy, athletic training and hand therapy. Physical therapy services are provided utilizing a team approach with our athletic trainers. Under the direction of our physicians and surgeons, rehabilitation is provided for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions including spine, foot and ankle and sports medicine, focusing on the knee and shoulder.

Hand therapy services are provided by occupational therapists with a specialty certification in hand therapy. Hand and upper extremity conditions treated include fractures, nerve and tendon injuries, post-surgical and a variety of medical conditions including tendonitis and arthritis. Our hand therapists work closely with our hand surgeons to provide a hand therapy rehabilitation program that focuses on the highest level of care and return of functional abilities.
