Welcome to the Vanderbilt Transplant Nurse Practitioner Symposium website where you will find the most up-to-date conference information including links to registration and housing sites.
Our annual conference is designed to address the complexities of managing the transplant patient within the scope of practice of the nurse practitioner, and all advanced practice nurses. As the number of Nurse Practitioners caring for transplant patients continues to increase, their role focusing on acute/chronic illness with emphasis on preventative maintenance has become vital to the lifelong care of transplant patients and their unique needs. We are committed to providing you the most current data and best practices by presenting evidence-based transplant practice in a non-biased format.
Some of this year's Clinical Update topics were selected from participant feedback and will center on a Interprofessional Approach to the Management of the Transplant Patient. This year's agenda includes nurse practitioner, pharmacist, and physician speakers with new topics related to Non-vaccination, Access to care, a Pediatric transplantation break-out session as well as a return of updated topics such as Diabetes, Sensitized patients, Pharmacology Updates and non-organ specific guidelines for assessment of transplant patients and diagnosis and treatment of common comorbidities and more.
