Kimberly Currier, RN, MSN, NP

Nurse Practitioner

Kimberly Currier joined the Vanderbilt Center for Human Nutrition team in July 2007.  Her practice serves those necessitating parenteral nutrition while in the hospital setting and the continuance of home care through the Center for Human Nutrition clinic.  Her clinical interests include maximizing her clients' nutrition and quality of life.


Ms. Currier earned a Master of Science in Nursing at the Vanderbilt University School .  She also completed a degree in Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston, Houston, Texas.

Postgraduate Training

Ms. Currier is certified as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.

Work and Teaching Experience

Ms. Currier is presently an invited representative of the Patient Advocacy Reporting System and Advanced Practice Nurses Advisory Board Council at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.  She has participated in professional education for the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.

Professional Awards and Activities

Ms. Currier's excellence in clinical care has been recognized by her receipt of the Advanced Practice Nurse of the Year award from Vanderbilt Nursing and the Award for Excellence as a Nurse Practitioner Advocate from the State of Tennessee from the American Academy of Nurse Pratitioners. She has served as seceretary of the Nurse Practice Section and has participated in the Clinical Practive Committee of the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition.
