Welcome to Vanderbilt Immunology. The immune system and inflammation are found more and more to influence a wide range of pathologies, including infections, diabetes, cancer, and others. The Vanderbilt Center for Immunobiology (VCI) and Vanderbilt Center for Translational Immunology and Infectious Disease (VCTIID), therefore, were designed to cross Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt University Medical Center and promote immunology-related basic and translational science and graduate education. With approximately 70 associated faculty, the VCI and VCTIID encompass all fields of immunology and interact closely with a wide range of other Vanderbilt departments, divisions, centers, and institutes to foster and grow a community for immunologists.
