6/9/2016 The nominee must be actively engaged in research involving development of new agents, investigation of antimicrobial action or resistance to antimicrobial agents, and/or the pharmacology, toxicology or clinical use of those agents.
American Society for Cell Biology Various dates The ASCB recognizes worthy scientists at various levels with a variety of prestigious awards (see below) that are presented at the annual meeting. In addition, travel and childcare awards are offered to selected applicants to attend the annual meeting. U.S.-based minority students and scientists and others at minority-serving institutions are also eligible for Visiting Professorship and other mentored courses or summer research opportunities.
AACR Distinguished Lecture on the Science of Cancer Health Disparities Aug-Sep 2017 The AACR Distinguished Lecture on the Science of Cancer Health Disparities, funded by Susan G. Komen® recognizes an investigator whose novel and significant work has had or may have a far-reaching impact on the etiology, detection, diagnosis, treatment or prevention of cancer health disparities. The recipient of the award will receive a $5,000 honorarium and present a 45-minute lecture at the Tenth Annual AACR Conference on the Science of Cancer Health Disparities in Racial/Ethnic Minorities and the Medically Underserved.

ASM GRADUATE MICROBIOLOGY TEACHING AWARD 6/9/2018 The nominee must be currently teaching microbiology in a recognized college or university, with a substantial portion of his or her time during the past five years devoted to teaching graduate students in microbiology, and a minimum of 10 years total teaching experience. The nominee may have engaged in research or other concerns, provided that teaching graduate students remained a substantial activity.
ASM's premier award for sustained contributions to the microbiological sciences.
6/9/2018 Nominations will be considered without updating for three years. Self-nominations and more than one nomination per nominee will not be accepted. Only one nominating form and two references are accepted per nomination. The nominator and references may not share employers and may not be in the same academic department as the nominee.

AACR G.H.A. Clowes Memorial Award 8/30/2017 The AACR and Eli Lilly and Company established this award in 1961 to honor Dr. G.H.A.
